मी वेद पुराण जाणत नाही,
शास्त्रांचा गूढ अर्थही मला ठाऊक नाही।
एकच भरोसा श्यामावर,
तोच पार लावणारा आहे॥
जय विष्णु भगवान दयाळू,
जय जगदीश जगाचा पालनकर्ता।
क्षीरसागरात वास करणारे,
जगाचे स्वामी अंतर्यामी॥
चतुर्भुज रूप धारण केलेले प्रभू,
शंख चक्र गदा पद्म धारण केले।
पीतांबर वस्त्रांनी शोभणारे,
मोर मुकुटाने शिर सुशोभित॥
गरुड वाहन जगाचे राजा,
भक्तांसाठी नेहमी आधार।
संकट हरन मंगलकारी,
भक्तांच्या दुःखांचा नाश करणारे॥
राम रूप धारण करून रावणाचा संहार केला,
कृष्ण रूप धारण करून कंसाचा वध केला।
नरसिंह बनून प्रह्लादाचे रक्षण केले,
वामन बनून बलीला मोहात पाडले॥
मत्स्य रूप धारण करून वेदांचे रक्षण केले,
कूर्म रूप धारण करून मंदर पर्वत उचलला।
वराह रूप धारण करून पृथ्वीचे उद्धार केले,
भक्तांचे सदैव रक्षण करणारे॥
तुम्हीच जगाचे पालनकर्ता,
सर्व संकट दूर करणारे।
जो भक्त तुमचे ध्यान करतो,
त्याच्या सर्व इच्छा पूर्ण होतात॥
दीन-दुःखी लोकांवर तुमची कृपा,
तुमची दया सदैव राहते।
जो हा चालीसा रोज गातो,
त्याला विष्णूची कृपा मिळते॥
दुःख आणि दरिद्रता दूर होते,
घरात सुख-समृद्धी येते।
भक्ती वाढते आणि मन पवित्र होते,
शेवटी विष्णुलोक प्राप्त होते॥
